On October 5, 2019, a fire broke out in Guanzhuang Group, Calabash Village, Calabash Town, Baojing County, Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Xiangxi, Hunan province, burning down 68 houses and involving 283 people from 63 households.
